Law is the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties.

Law/Legal education is the education gained by individuals to become legal professionals or practitioners.

A Lawyer or Attorney is a person who practices law, as an advocate, attorney, attorney at law, barrister, barrister-at-law, bar-at-law, canonist, canon lawyer, civil law notary, counsel, counselor, counsellor, solicitor, legal executive, or public servant preparing, interpreting and applying law, but not as a paralegal or charter executive secretary

The degree of law in India is currently offered by many universities and at various academic levels.

The Law degree was started in India in the year 1987 as a three-year programme granted under the Advocate Act, 1961.
The BCI (Bar Council of India) is the chief regulatory body of  Law education and lawyers.
